Today I want to talk a bit about my why, and how I came to start my business, and turned my skills in writing into Relationship Marketing aka Social Selling.

You see, back in 2008, I was doing MLM for a Weight Loss Product. My upline training was on how to buy leads and do cold calls. I even learned smiling and dialing and the hard close! I already knew a better way thanks to my time in Corporate Banking, but buying leads were expensive, so I started buying courses and put them together with what I'd learned in the banking world.

The trouble was, I was spending so much time finding leads, that I never had time to Talk to them! Then health issues hit and I needed medical insurance, so back to work I went.

Fast forward to 2017, and my hubby needs a new heart. He was listed for transplant, and I lost 3 jobs in 3 months, because we travel 5 hours away for a Dr visit and tests once a month. He is stable, and still listed, and we still travel to the clinic, although with covid we got to do several tele med visits.

Well, when I lost those jobs, I started helping friends with their social media and email campaigns, to help them and be productive. Their Business pages grew from 100 to over 600 in 90 days ,their engagement blossomed, and their sales increased so much they are able to quit their day job in less than 9 months!

What I've heard from my clients and seen online, is that there are people that want and need their content to convert to sales, but they want to be able to still like themselves after the sale. Many copy writers and content creators can promise you the sale, but their content feels wrong to you. That is where Relationship Marketing comes into play.

I combine your passion, and your desire to serve, with your personality and your clients needs. Then I create content that is true to you, builds a relationship with your prospect, and converts into sales, repeat customers, and Advocates for your brand.

P. S. This is my Why! Me and Hubby on VACA, first ever, waiting for a heart and making memories. This was fall 2019. When he gets his New Heart, we are going back, and my business will pay the tab, and we will climb to the top of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse that is behind us!

P.P.S. Hubby is now doing so well with his Medication regime, that he no longer needs a heart transplant! His Heart is Shrinking, and it's functioning at heart failure/low normal in pumping his blood.
